Founded in 1744, West Nottingham Academy (WNA) is the oldest boarding school in America. WNA offers a rigorous college-preparatory program on a beautiful campus near the Chesapeake Bay, just an hour from Baltimore & Philadelphia. Recent campus improvements include renovation and expansion of Rush House and Rowland House, and the construction of Durigg Plaza, an outdoor meeting space for students and visitors to campus. Improvements also include expansion of the school's Culture Credit Program requiring greater exposure to the arts, a newly developed academic schedule with expanded teaching time for English and the sciences, and a new Service Learning requirement to expand experiential learning opportunities.
