The mission of New York Military Academy is to develop all cadets in mind, body and character to prepare them for further education and to be effective leaders and responsible citizens. Inherent in this mission are these objectives: Intellect: To provide cadets with educational challenges and experiences that prepare them to be successful in the Information Age and for further study at the college level. Character: To instill in cadets a high sense of morality and ethics with emphasis on intellectual honesty, integrity, discipline, honor, respect for authority, and consideration for others. Physical: To develop cadets physically to participate in competitive sports, to instill a livelong appreciation for wellness and a healthy lifestyle. Military: To develop, through the structure of the Corps of Cadets, self-discipline, leadership and citizenship. School accreditations: MSASC
